Single moms need financial help, but they think that they are on their own. Good News!! You should know that there are so many organizations and state help programs on the way to help. Your state realizes that Single Moms are at a disadvantage, so they have made many programs/grants to help you out.
All of the 50 states in the United States offer special programs to help Single mothers financially. Many of the programs are generic and offered by every single state. Additionally, many of the states also offer specific help, so check out what is offered in your state.
Some of the Generic Programs:
Office of Family Assistance has temporary Assistance program TANF. TANF offers temporary financial assistance to single moms to help pay for childcare, rent, food , and living needs. The program works by providing cash assistance to single moms via an Electronic Benefit Transfer or EBT card that works like any other bankcard or debt card.
Assistance for Cars
Cars become important to take kids to school, get to work, and it saves a lot more time compared to using buses. They often are very expensive, or if its cheap, it never works. Using Car grants and assistance programs help make the process a lot easier and cheaper. Cars are usually very expensive, and if you find a cheap one, it breaks down easily, so finding that perfect cheap and working car becomes a challenge.
Through HUD, those with low to moderate incomes including members of groups including the elderly, disabled and single mothers can apply for housing assistance. State and local agencies also work with HUD to make affordable housing available to everyone.
